Valkania

Valkania is a collaborative band built around my compositions — a musical language we began developing in 2010 and have continued refining together with the musicians who’ve been part of the project.
The sound draws from Balkan folk, blues, jazz, and classical influences, not as a collage but as a blend where rhythm, melody, and harmony meet naturally.
Alongside the original repertoire, we also play a small set of balkanized rock and westernised Balkan covers covers — familiar songs re‑imagined through our rhythmic and melodic vocabulary.

We had a notable collaboration with Hamza Namira, an Egyptian singer/songwriter; watch the video here.

The lineup has changed at different points, yet the musical vision has stayed steady. We kept working through the quieter post-Covid years, and from 2025 onward, we’re preparing new repertoire for small London venues.

Solo Projects

Super Nova

My first successful band was Super Nova, formed in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia (former Yugoslavia). We were among the early groups experimenting with Yugoslav‑based rap and crossover styles, as this Wikipedia article explains.
